We didn't start with a pitch deck. We started with a problem to solve.
Six moments that defined who we are — and why regulated industries trust us.
Started as a specialist software consultancy focused on solving complex problems for mid-market enterprises. Two offices were always the plan — strategy in the Netherlands, engineering at scale in Poland. From day one, we took on projects that other agencies declined because they were too complex, too regulated, or too high-stakes.
Took on our first insurance client. Learned what it means to build software where compliance isn't optional — where an audit trail isn't a feature request, it's a legal requirement. That engagement rewired how we think about architecture. Regulatory constraints became first-class engineering inputs, not afterthoughts.
ABN AMRO and first banking integrations. Mastered PSD2, MiFID II and the art of passing audits. Working with a top-tier European bank taught us the difference between software that is "probably compliant" and software that demonstrably, provably, auditably is. We chose the harder path and have never looked back.
Started what would become a 10+ year partnership with DEKRA. Built the i2i remote inspection platform from v1 to global scale — 150,000+ insurance claims processed annually across 20 countries. This engagement validated our fixed-price model at scale: a decade of work, not a single budget overrun. The relationship continues today.
Opened our engineering centre in Poland to scale delivery capacity while maintaining quality. Not an offshore cost play — a deliberate decision to build a permanent, senior engineering team in one of Europe's strongest technical cities. The Gdańsk hub now carries the delivery of every project we run.
Integrated AI agents into our engineering workflow. Faster delivery, same quality standards, still fixed price. We don't use AI to replace engineers — we use it to make senior engineers faster. Code review, documentation, test generation, architecture analysis: the tedious work that used to slow teams down now happens in minutes.
Twenty-one years. Three things have stayed constant through every technology shift, market cycle, and client engagement.
In 2005 we decided we would never staff client projects with juniors learning on the job. That decision still holds. Every engagement, regardless of size, is led by engineers with a decade or more in regulated industries. We don't have a bench of graduates we need to keep busy.
Time and materials billing rewards slow delivery and scope creep. Fixed price rewards efficiency and precision. We've never wavered on this. If we underestimate a project, we absorb the difference — that incentive keeps our scoping discipline sharp and our clients' budgets intact.
We've been offered general commercial work many times. We decline. Regulated industries require a depth of domain knowledge that takes years to build and seconds to lose if you dilute your focus. Insurance, financial services, healthcare, government, NGO — that's our world, and we're not leaving it.
21 years of regulated-industry experience means we've encountered your problem before — and we know how to solve it. Tell us about your project and we'll respond with a fixed-price proposal in 48 hours.
